Effect of Moisture Content and Particle Size on Characteristics of Fuel Pellets Using Flat Die Type Pelleting Machine

Fuel pellets are a popular form of biomass energy due to their high density, ease handling, and reduced emissions. The quality fuel is influenced by various factors, including the moisture content particle size raw materials (Soybean straw cotton stalk) used during pelletization process. In this study, effect on characteristics produced using flat die type pelleting machine was investigated. Different levels (ranging from 20 30%) sizes 4 8 mm) were pelletize feedstock. pellet characteristics, durability, bulk density water resistance consumption evaluated. results showed that both significantly as well consumption. Based findings, an optimal 25% 6 mm determined for producing with desirable low required machine.
